Virat Kohli proves his dominance once more by leading India into the Champions Trophy final

During the Champions Trophy semifinal match against Australia Virat Kohli conducted a patient run chase under intense pressure to lead India toward their challenging 265-run goal. Kohli demonstrated composure by scoring valuable runs with Shreyas Iyer while batting before missing out on his 52nd ODI hundred

The crucial run chase took place under substantial pressure circumstances where Virat Kohli emerged.

The instant reaction of spectators is to express WOW after watching each chase masterpiece he performs. Throughout his run chase Virat Kohli keeps strict control while reducing threats so narrowly that his swing seems as breezy as refreshing wind does during hot afternoons. Kohli handles his innings with complete composure while running the calculation points flawlessly to build phases until he reaches the target.

A solid start, busy acceleration and then the late flourish. One phase at a time. Kohli maintains such a constant batting foundation which allows team members to stay relaxed during chases.

The total of 264 presented India with a challenging target since they faced Pakistan at a crucial knockout match where Pakistan has thwarted Indian successes many times before. A shaky beginning that included a quick departure from Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill did not affect Kohli who consistently delivers performances at the highest level

During batting with Shreyas Iyer he managed to sustain the required run rate by matching the pace of spin deliveries that captain Steve Smith strategically applied. The right-handed batting pair maintained high run speeds while eliminating the loose deliveries which caused Australia frustration throughout about 20 overs.

The batsmen maintained an observant approach before displaying a rapid level of offensive skill where Kohli managed to hit more boundaries than his fellow cricketer. Through their 111-delivery partnership Kohli scored 46 runs in 49 balls while Shreyas hit 45 runs from his 62-ball innings.
